Our Services
Individual Therapy
The ultimate tool for self improvement! Individual therapy is an essential tool that clients can use to learn more about themselves, confront areas of their lives where improvement is desired, and focus on building the life they want to have. We provide a safe environment for our clients to express themselves openly and honestly. Then, we help our clients identify key patterns and behaviors that are standing in the way of achieving their goals.
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy is for any couple who has found themselves in a situation where communication is not as operational as it should be for the relationship or marriage to thrive. Whether you’re at the stage of discussing divorce or you simply want to repair broken patterns of communication before moving to the next phase in your life together, couples therapy can be a tool to discover, heal, and build a more stable and fulfilling emotional connection.
Family Therapy
Major family events or shifts in family dynamics can leave family members feeling disconnected and unable to emotionally connect with one another. Talking through conflicts and identifying patterns in communication with a mental health professional can be a significant and impactful resource for family members undergoing a transition of any kind. We help our clients communicate better with each other, resolve conflicts, and move forward toward their family goals.
Group Therapy
We are proud to offer groups and training sessions for veterans, men, and women at our practice. We are also establishing support groups for grief and loss. Additionally, we offer management resources for clients that may require community assistance.

As a disabled veteran and a person who experienced several adverse experiences early on, I understand the profound impact that mental health can have on your life. When I faced challenges early on in life, I lacked the resources and mental health support I needed, but this experience served as a catalyst for me to provide those resources and support to others. After I was declared disabled by the military in 1986, I turned a negative into a positive by completing my education through the disabled veteran program. Since then, I have worked to help my clients grow as productive and happy contributors to their lives as well as to society.
My approach is unique for a few reasons. As one of the only Black men practicing couples and family therapy in North Carolina, I am able to provide a culturally relevant and inclusive therapy experience for many clients who have not found therapy to be a safe and inclusive space in the past. I am also able to relate to and understand the unique experiences of veterans and military personnel. More importantly, I offer a direct, no-nonsense approach to helping my clients meet their goals and finally make progress with their mental health.
I believe that the difference between human nature and human suffering is simple. Human nature is who we are. Human suffering is a choice. I’m helping my clients make the choice to move beyond human suffering and to choose pathways that result in a more sustainable, fulfilling, and authentic life.
